Service Technician
We are looking for a Full-Time Service Technician. Positions are available in both East Lansing and Grand Rapids. Service Technicians are responsible for the installation and support of our many Satellite TV systems and Fiber Optic Network. This includes but is not limited to the support of Multi Dwelling Units, Residential, and Commercial Customers. Our technicians assist our customers in applying cutting edge technology into their homes, businesses, and lives.

Job responsibilities
- Install and maintain DIRECTV and DISH Network Satellite Systems
- Install and Educate New and Existing Customers on Products and Features
- Provide IT and Network Support for MDU Residential and Commercial Customers
- Assist in the Configuration and Administration of Aggregate Switches, Routers, and Wireless Access Points
- Install Low Voltage Wiring for Customer Apartments and Businesses
- Work as a Team to close daily trouble tickets and preventative maintenance
Job requirements
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills
- Strong Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Skills
- Basic Computer and Networking Knowledge
- Valid driver’s license
- Flexible Work Hours with Possible Weekends
- Experience with DIRECTV MDU systems or DISH Network QAM systems a plus
Administrative Assistant
At Spartan-Net we wish to provide the best customer experience, we are looking for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant that can help us fulfill this goal. Administrative Assistants are responsible for assisting customers with work order requests, account activations, and various clerical work.
Job responsibilities
- Answer phones, route calls, and take messages
- Receiver and direct customers and clients to appropriate staff members
- General clerical duties such as copying, fax, and scanning
- Activate new customer accounts
- Enter work orders for customers
- Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries
- Maintain office supply inventories
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain lobby and office area, keeping it clean and free of clutter

- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Problem solving skills with the ability to think on your feet
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook)
- High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
